EIN STEIN – Thinking about Thinking

In this exhibition, the artist creates various scenarios as a process to complete the work. Combining two contradicting images-a piece of stone (EIN STEIN in German languages) and name of one of the world-renown physicist EINSTEIN-a thought is formed into a tangible, visible thing which displays the spectrum of thoughts and thus transmits a conceptual notion into a realistic, tangible space. A piece of stone combines with the image of Einstein that transforms the concept of ideological thought into a visualized form. The artist carved styrofoam into shape of stone then inserted a piece of magnet inside, photograph of stone is covered onto the surface of styrofoam for realistic look of stone. In this exhibition, viewers will discover large stone moves around in the air only supported by a thread or rolling stone on the ground by motor, levitating stone by magnets and floating stone on water.
