Floating Life

2017. 9. 1 ~ 9. 24
The duo exhibition by Bo-Yun Jang and Hye-Kyung Ham, tited Floating Life, covers everything that a ’woman artist in her 30s’ confronts in the process of maintaining an artistic career. The exhibition examined the work of women in their 30s who visualized an imperfect world with slight trepidation.
An exhibition is a way of visualizing the artist’s aesthetic sensibility, sensitivity, and attitude towards life, habits, and perhaps his or her perspective on the world. It can also be extended to one’s own anxieties and the expectations of others regarding the identity of the ’artist’. This exhibition metaphorically explored the uncertainties of female artists in their 30s. The tiny flame at the end of a candlestick may flicker in the wind, but will clearly continue to exist until the moment the wick disappears.
