Curator’s Note
LEEHWAIK GALLERY has prepared an exhibition of two remarkable artists Sung-Soo Koo and Jung-Eun Lee with the concept of floral blossom of spring. Sung-Soo Koo is well known for his photograph work called photogenic drawing series which even covers the ways of painting and sculpture. He creates a photograph by producing wild flowers as a relief and paints them as like as the flowers then takes pictures of the reproduced flowers to make the final work. However, Jung-Eun Lee produces oriental painting work in a classic way, which draws flowers and objects with the traditional technique of oriental painting.
